ESSENTIAL DUTIES: UNDERSTANDING OF LANZEN’S QUALITY POLICY STATEMENT * LOADS AND UNLOADS MATERIALS, PARTS OR PRODUCTS ONTO OR FROM PALLETS, SKIDS OR TRUCKS * DELIVER PARTS OR STOCK TO DESIGNATED WORK AREAS FOR MACHINING FOR FURTHER PROCESSING * PRESS ROOM HELP – LIFTS METAL PART OR STOCK ONTO MACHINE AND SECURES IT ON TABLE, IN CHUCK OR HOLDING FIXTURE TO ASSIST IN SETTING UP MACHINE * WELDING HELPER * MINOR JANITORIAL CLEAN UP-CLEAN AROUND WORK AREAS * REMOVES BURRS OR EXCESS METAL FROM MACHINED PARTS * SNAG GRINDING * SPOT WELDING OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED
EDUCATION LEVEL: High School/GED
EXPERIENCE: SOME PRIOR SHOP EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines and machining centers to support fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: From blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, CAD or sample parts; determines dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining. Builds, selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories (as applicable), and materials on machines such as mills, lathes and drill presses. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications. Sets up and operates machine while maintaining part accuracy and machine settings Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly. Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Other duties may be assigned

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Production welder for defense industry fabrication plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Must be proficient at MIG and TIG welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Candidate must possess strong background working from blueprints with little or no supervision. Experience in welding to military specifications preferred.
EDUCATION LEVEL: High School/GED
EXPERIENCE: 5 years minimum in all facets of MIG & TIG welding.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Need to be able to lift and move 50 lb. load.
