Covid-19 Safety & Impact Information
Michigan Governor and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) have
issued numerous Covid-19 related executive orders in 2020. While the governor's orders are being litigated, the MDHHS has issued emergency orders that effectively enforce the governor's intentions.
While the governor and MDHHS monitor and makes adjustments to the restrictions that
were in effect from the original Stay Home, Stay Safe order of March 2020, Lanzen remains open and operational. As a prime
and first tier contractor to the US Government and its major military vehicle
manufacturers, Lanzen is considered by the US Dept of Homeland Security to be essential to the
Defense Industrial Base. We have frequent coronavirus impact discussions with our customers and with the DoD, who share the opinion that
the work we do in support of national defense is critical.
To that end, all three Lanzen manufacturing facilities in Michigan remain open and, at the same time, provide a safe workplace for the Lanzen Team.
Both company
leadership and our customers understand that the circumstances are
unprecedented, and we are committed to finding solutions to keep our workforce
safe while continuing to meet the needs of our U.S. military customers. The safety measures we have put in place include providing gloves, masks & sanitizers, incorporating and enforcing social distancing rules, restricting access to our facilities by non-employees and using professional services for periodic sanitizing of all Lanzen Facilities.
To our customers, please understand that we are doing everything we can to maintain delivery schedules as best we can, however, the spread of the virus has impacted, and will continue to impact our work force and our vendor base. With fewer workers and supporting vendors, overall delivery schedules will be affected. Please continue to relate your essential needs to us and we will do all we can to support them.
To our vendors, subcontractors and suppliers; considering that your efforts support Lanzen, the designation as an essential business extends to your company. We appreciate your willingness to stay open to serve Lanzen and our
Defense Industry customers during the global pandemic.
